About Norwich High School for Girls
Norwich High School is an independent day school for girls aged 3 to 18, founded in 1875 and situated close to the city centre. The school is part of the Girls' Day School Trust (GDST) and is also supported by a local board of governors. It welcomes pupils from nursery and pre-preparatory age all the way through to sixth form, all sharing a single site. The school aims to nurture a genuine love of learning, helping pupils grow into self-assured, happy young adults with the confidence and drive to pursue their ambitions and make a positive difference to the world around them. Pupils come from a range of academic, professional and business backgrounds, drawn largely from across the county and the north of Suffolk. The school is committed to supporting every pupil, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language. Provision is also made for the most able pupils through modifications to the curriculum.
