About Merton Court School
Merton Court School is an independent co-educational day school situated on the edge of Sidcup, founded in 1899. The school welcomes children from the age of 3 through to 11, with provision spanning the Early Years Foundation Stage, a junior section for ages 5 to 7, and a senior section for ages 8 to 11. The school is run by its proprietor, supported by an advisory board. At the heart of the school is a genuine commitment to inspiring a love of learning, fostering a warm, friendly and family-like atmosphere built on trust. The school aims to give every child the best possible start, encouraging clear thinking, confidence, and a readiness to engage with the wider world. Pupils come from a range of backgrounds within the local area, reflecting the community around Sidcup. The school is attentive to the needs of all its learners, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and its most able pupils, all of whom are supported through both the curriculum and a range of extra-curricular activities.
