About St Olave's Prep School
St Olave's Preparatory School is an independent day school welcoming boys and girls aged 3 to 11. Founded in 1932, the school has been run by a charitable trust since 1972 and is organised into three sections: an Early Years Foundation Stage for children aged 3 to 5, a lower school for those aged 5 to 7, and an upper school for pupils aged 7 to 11. The school has recently expanded its premises to include purpose-built early years accommodation, an all-weather play surface, and an allotment. The school aims to help children think for themselves and flourish academically in an environment that encourages resilience and a willingness to take risks. It seeks to nurture the values of compassion, commitment, curiosity, collaboration, courage, and creativity, with a strong belief that learning should be enjoyable. Pupils come from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and live within a 10-mile radius of the school. The school provides additional specialist support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and offers help to some pupils for whom English is an additional language. The curriculum is also adapted for the most able pupils and for those with particular talents in sport.
