About Lincoln Minster School

Lincoln Minster School is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 2 to 18, set across three sites in Lincoln's historic quarter. Part of United Learning and governed by United Church Schools Trust, the school has a rich history rooted in the merger of several Lincoln schools, coming together in its current form over a number of years. It offers provision from Early Years right through to sixth form, with separate pre-preparatory, preparatory, and senior phases, as well as dedicated junior and senior boarding houses. The school aims to provide an education for life, one that sets high expectations while nurturing each pupil's individual talents and building resilience and self-esteem. Pupils of different abilities and interests are encouraged to try new things and grow, in an atmosphere of support and care. The school draws pupils from a variety of backgrounds, largely from within a 40-mile radius of Lincoln, alongside boarders from the UK and overseas. Support is in place for pupils with special educational needs, those for whom English is an additional language, and those identified as the most able or talented, with the curriculum adapted accordingly to ensure every pupil is well catered for.
