About Burton Hathow Preparatory School
Burton Hathow Preparatory School is an independent co-educational day school, founded in 2013 and owned by a small group of founding shareholders that includes the board of directors. The school is governed by the board of directors of Burton Hathow Preparatory School Ltd, supported by a local advisory group. The headteacher has been in post since the school opened and is also a member of the board of directors. The school aims to give children a happy, fun and stimulating all-round education, extending learning beyond the classroom to develop each child's emotional well-being and social skills. It seeks to combine high academic standards with real-life skills so that pupils are well prepared for the next step in their education and for life itself. Pupils come from a wide range of backgrounds and attend from all over Lincolnshire. The school supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia and auditory processing difficulties, all of whom receive additional specialist help. For those pupils identified as most able, or with special talents in areas such as music, drama, sport, art and academia, the curriculum is adapted accordingly.
