About King's College Prep School

King's Hall School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school, part of the Woodard Schools group and closely associated with King's College Taunton. The school welcomes children from the age of two through to thirteen, with a pre-prep section for those aged two to seven and a prep section for pupils aged seven to thirteen. Boarding accommodation is situated within the main school building, and several areas of the school have recently been refurbished, including the dining room, boarding accommodation, and a number of pre-prep classrooms. Rooted in the Woodard Christian ethos, the school warmly welcomes pupils of all faiths and backgrounds. It aims to nurture happy, fulfilled children who develop independent and enquiring minds within a tolerant and supportive environment. Pupils are encouraged to pursue wide interests, achieve high standards, and appreciate the value of contributing to their community both inside and beyond school. The school draws most of its pupils from professional and business families in the local area, while boarders come from across the United Kingdom, including children of military personnel, as well as from a range of other countries. The school supports pupils with a variety of additional learning needs and provides extra English language support for those who need it. The curriculum is also adapted to stretch the most able pupils and those with particular talents in areas such as art, music, drama, technology, and sport.
