About Ewell Castle School

Ewell Castle School is an independent co-educational day school welcoming pupils aged between 2 and 18 years. Founded in 1926, the school occupies three sites close to one another in Ewell. The pre-prep is based at Chessington Lodge, the prep school at Glyn House, and the senior school is housed in a mansion known as the Castle, set within large grounds. The school is a registered charity, overseen by a board of governors, and has recently added a music pavilion and an additional playing field. The school aims to inspire and nurture its pupils within a happy, family-friendly atmosphere, empowering everyone through the values of integrity, trust, respect, responsibility and determination. It seeks to identify the individual skills and talents of every pupil and to create opportunities for each of them to develop their particular strengths, both within and beyond the curriculum. Pupils come from a range of professional backgrounds and reflect the cultural diversity of the local area. The school provides additional specialist support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and also offers specialist tuition for a number of pupils for whom English is an additional language.
