About Durlston Court School

Durlston Court was founded in 1903 as a boys' boarding school and has since grown into a co-educational day school welcoming pupils aged 2 to 13. Run as a charitable trust overseen by a board of governors, the school is organised into three stages: a pre-prep covering Nursery through to Year 2, a middle school for Years 3 to 5, and a senior school for Years 6 to 8. In recent years the school has invested in a range of new and improved facilities, including a library, IT and design technology spaces, a ceramics studio, an art design centre, sports courts, a kindergarten play area, a learning development suite, and further outdoor education provision. The school draws pupils from a variety of backgrounds across the local area, including Bournemouth, Lymington, Christchurch, and the New Forest. It is committed to educating the whole child, aiming to offer a broad and balanced curriculum alongside a wide range of extra-curricular, artistic, and sporting opportunities. The school values each pupil's individual contribution and works to foster a happy, secure, and encouraging environment, building a strong partnership between families and staff along the way.
