About Bredon School

Bredon School is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged seven to eighteen, set within an 85-acre estate near Tewkesbury. Founded in 1962 and owned by Cavendish Education Ltd since 2014, the school is registered with a specialist professional association for schools supporting pupils with dyslexia. Full and flexi-boarding is available on site for pupils from the age of nine. The school is committed to catering for all types of learners, valuing each pupil as an individual and nurturing their self-confidence and self-esteem. Pupils are encouraged to engage fully in both academic and extra-curricular life, with the aim of developing into well-rounded, tolerant individuals with a strong work ethic and a genuine sense of community. The school welcomes pupils from a wide area, with boarders coming from across the UK and beyond. A significant number of pupils have special educational needs and/or disabilities, including dyslexia, speech and language difficulties, and a range of other learning and physical needs, many of whom receive additional specialist support. The school also provides tailored help for pupils for whom English is an additional language, ensuring every child is well supported in the classroom.
