About Westbury House School

Westbury House School is an independent day school welcoming boys and girls from Nursery through to Year 6, with one class per year group. Founded in 1966 and housed in a former residential property, the school is now part of the Inspired Learning Group. The current head teacher has been leading the school since 2019. The school aims to instil a lifelong love of learning within a nurturing environment, where every child's talents are recognised and encouraged to flourish. It places particular value on challenge, resilience, and effort, with the goal of helping each pupil achieve to the very best of their ability. Pupils come mostly from local families with a range of professional backgrounds. The school is attentive to the needs of its whole community, providing additional specialist support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, extra help for those for whom English is an additional language, and a modified curriculum for its more able learners.
