About Trent College
Trent College is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 11 to 18. Founded in 1866, the school has a long history and is joined on its shared campus by its junior school, The Elms. Both schools are owned by Trent College Ltd and governed by a board of trustees. Boarders are accommodated in four boarding houses, two of which are within the main school building and two nearby on the school site. Junior boarders from The Elms are also welcomed into these houses. Pupils come mainly from local professional families, and the school's ability profile is above average compared to national norms. The school places a high priority on both academic provision and pastoral care, offering a broad curriculum that includes sport, music, art and drama. Support is available for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, for those for whom English is an additional language, and for those with particular talents in academic or creative and sporting areas. The school aims to help every young person be the best they can be in both achievement and character.
