About Tower College

Tower College is a co-educational day school for pupils aged 0 to 16 years, situated in Rainhill, Merseyside. Founded in 1948, it operates as a charitable trust and limited company, with its directors serving as proprietors and overseeing the school as a board of governors. The school welcomes children from the age of 0, with Tower Tots providing day-care throughout the year for children aged 0 to 5 within the school grounds. From there, pupils progress through a pre-preparatory department for ages 3 to 5, a lower school for ages 5 to 9, a middle school for ages 9 to 13, and an upper school for ages 13 to 16. Pupils are drawn primarily from professional families across a wide catchment area covering Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside. The school aims to give each pupil a well-rounded education, supporting not only strong academic progress but also the development of fundamental life skills. These include finding their own voice, being kind and considerate, becoming a responsible citizen, and being able to solve problems both individually and as part of a team. The school has identified a number of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, all of whom receive additional specialist help.
