About Stratford Preparatory School
Stratford Preparatory School is a warm and welcoming school for boys and girls aged 2 to 11, with a Montessori Nursery, situated in a former Rectory in the Old Town district of Stratford-upon-Avon. Founded in 1989, the school has a dedicated outdoor space in the Nursery garden and makes use of a nearby field for games. The school is guided by traditional values and a culture of mutual respect among children, parents, and staff. Children are encouraged to challenge themselves in a safe and supportive environment, with the current headteacher having led the day-to-day running of the school since 2010. Pupils come from a range of professional families, mostly living within a 10 to 15 mile radius of the school. The school supports all its learners thoughtfully, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, who receive additional help within the classroom and, where appropriate, from specialist staff. Provision is also made for the most able pupils through a modified curriculum and targeted support.
