About St Nicholas School
Saint Nicholas School is an independent co-educational day school situated on the edge of Harlow, on a site it has called home since 1977. Founded in 1939 and run as a registered charity by a board of governors, the school welcomes children from the Early Years Foundation Stage right through to Year 11, offering a continuous and supportive journey from the earliest pre-school years to the end of compulsory education. The school aims to provide a safe, happy and secure environment where pupils can grow academically, physically and creatively. It encourages children to reach their full potential, to become curious and resilient learners, and to develop a strong sense of social responsibility both within the school community and beyond. Pupils come from families with a range of professional and business backgrounds, living within a 15-mile radius of the school. The school supports a variety of learning needs, including pupils identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those identified as the most able, with the curriculum adapted accordingly to ensure every child is well supported.
