About St James Senior Girls' School
St James Senior Girls' School is an independent day school for girls aged 11 to 18, located in Olympia, where it has been based since 2001. The school shares its building with St James Preparatory School and is part of a charitable trust overseeing all the St James Schools, which were founded in 1975. Sixth form pupils in Years 12 and 13 are based in a separate centre nearby. The school aims to enrich pupils' intellectual and emotional development, nurturing wisdom, creativity, and an appreciation of the spiritual and emotional aspects of life. It seeks to help young women grow into people who lead happy, generous, and dignified lives. Pupils come from a range of professional and cultural backgrounds, with most families living within central London. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those identified as particularly able. The curriculum is thoughtfully adapted to meet the needs of individual pupils where appropriate.
