About Saint Felix School

Saint Felix School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school situated just outside Southwold on the Suffolk coast. Founded in 1897 as a charitable trust, the school was purchased in 2021 by the Inspired Learning Group, who oversee it supported by an advisory board. The school includes a nursery and pre-prep, a prep department, and a senior department in adjacent buildings, with pupils in year 11 to year 13 forming St Felix College. Three boarding houses on campus accommodate female pupils, male pupils, and sixth formers respectively. The school's mission is to offer pupils the opportunity to discover and develop their full potential across academic, sporting, and creative pursuits, aiming to nurture distinctive characters who are aware of their place in the world and look to live through action rather than word alone. Day pupils come from the local area, while boarders join from nearly 20 different countries. The school supports 77 pupils identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, many with processing barriers or dyslexia, and also provides additional English language support for a number of pupils for whom English is an additional language. The curriculum is adapted for those identified as more able within the school's ability range.
