About Ruckleigh School
Ruckleigh School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 3 to 11, located in the town centre of Solihull. Founded in 1909, the school has been part of the local community for well over a century and has been in the care of the Carr-Smith family since 1948, who remain responsible for its governance. The school has access to its own playing fields and all-weather tennis courts. The school aims to provide a caring and safe learning environment where children can reach their full potential and leave well prepared for the next stage of their education. Of equal importance is the school's commitment to nurturing happy, well-rounded pupils who are able to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing world. Pupils come from a range of professional backgrounds and reflect the cultural diversity of the local area. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those identified as particularly able or talented across areas such as art, drama, music and sport.
