About Prenton Preparatory School
Prenton Preparatory School is a co-educational, proprietorial school founded in Prenton in 1935, which moved to its current site in Oxton in 1974. The school operates as a limited company, with governance and financial management carried out by the proprietors. The school aims to provide for the educational and emotional needs of its pupils within a caring, nurturing, disciplined and stimulating environment, working closely with families for the benefit of each individual child. It believes that every child, regardless of ability, deserves the opportunity to develop self-esteem and reach their true potential. Through a broad and balanced curriculum, the school seeks to prepare pupils to take their place in a multi-cultural society as confident, polite, compassionate and tolerant individuals. Pupils come primarily from professional families living locally, as well as from more distant areas such as North Wales. The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, pupils with English as an additional language, and those identified as the most able, including those with particular talents in sport or the creative arts.
