About Park School
Park School is an independent co-educational day school in Bournemouth, founded in 1928 and based at its current site since 1941. The school is owned by Forfar Education and welcomes children from the Nursery, where babies and young children up to the age of four are cared for, through the Lower School for four to seven year olds, and on to the Junior School for pupils aged seven to eleven. The school aims to help every child grow into a confident, self-reliant and respectful individual, encouraging kindness, empathy and resilience along the way. It seeks to challenge each pupil to be ambitious in their learning, so that they can fulfil their own unique potential. Pupils come from diverse professional family backgrounds and largely live within five miles of the school. The school supports a range of needs within its community, including pupils with special educational needs and disabilities such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and autism, with specialist support available for many of them. Pupils for whom English is an additional language are supported within the classroom, and enrichment activities are provided for the most able pupils.
