About Overstone Park School
Overstone Park School is an independent co-educational day school specialising in special educational needs, set within a fifteen-acre rural site to the east of Northampton. Founded in 1983 and owned and governed by two joint proprietors, the school welcomes children from the age of two right through to eighteen, across its early years, preparatory, and high school sections. The school has invested in improving its environment in recent years, with refurbishments including updated playground areas, exterior works, and a dedicated cabin in the grounds for therapeutic activities to support individual pupils. Most pupils live within a ten-mile radius of the school and come from professional and business family backgrounds. At the heart of the school's approach is a genuine desire for every pupil to feel valued, confident, and secure. The school aims to create a well-resourced environment in which children can develop independence, self-control, and a sense of adventure, finding learning both pleasurable and rewarding. Additional support is available for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, those with education, health and care plans, and those for whom English is an additional language.
