About Northampton High School GDST
Northampton High School is an independent day school for girls aged 2 to 18, located in Hardingstone on a purpose-built site the school has called home since 1992. Founded in 1878 in the centre of Northampton, the school has a long history and is part of the Girls' Day School Trust (GDST), a registered charity and company that provides oversight and support. The school welcomes pupils from a variety of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, with most families living within a 20-mile radius. It aims to create a stimulating, caring and happy environment where every girl can fulfil her academic, creative and athletic potential. A strong emphasis is placed on tailoring the experience to the individual, with the goal of preparing confident young women for a balanced and fulfilling life. Support is available for pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, and classroom teachers also support those for whom English is an additional language, with further specialist help available where needed.

In addition, mobile phones are not permitted at afterschool clubs and at late prep (4pm to 5pm).
