About Holland House School
Holland House School is an independent co-educational day school located in Edgware. The school opened in 1937 and moved to its current site in 1941, remaining privately owned until 1974 when it became a charitable trust. It is governed by a board of eleven governors, and the current headmistress has been in post since September 2020. The school aims to provide a high-quality learning environment where pupils are happy, secure and productive. It seeks to offer an education underpinned by traditional values and strong relationships between teachers, pupils and parents, with broad academic foundations through which pupils can flourish. The school also endeavours to recognise and reward pupils' achievements across whatever field they excel in. Most pupils live locally, within a five-mile radius of the school, and the school's own assessment indicates that pupil ability is above average. Seven pupils have been identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, all of whom receive additional support as required, and English is an additional language for two pupils, whose needs are supported by their classroom teachers. The curriculum is modified for pupils who demonstrate ability or talent in a particular area.
