About Hill House School
Hill House School is a co-educational independent day school with a nursery, junior section, and senior section. Founded in Doncaster in 1912 as a preparatory school for boys, it merged with St Mary's School in 2002 and moved to its current site in 2008. The school is managed by a charitable trust overseen by a board of governors. The school aims to provide full and enriching opportunities for all its pupils, nurturing a lifelong love of learning alongside ambition and resilience. It strives to help young people grow into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals with independent minds and a strong sense of values, service, and responsibility — all within a supportive and friendly community where everyone is known as an individual. The school welcomes pupils from a wide range of backgrounds and makes provision for those with special educational needs and disabilities, including dedicated specialist support where needed. Pupils with particular talents in sport, music, and drama are also catered for, as are those identified as more able, with the curriculum thoughtfully adapted to meet their needs.
