About Highclare School
Highclare School is an independent co-educational day school with sites in Erdington and Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. Founded in 1932 and run as a registered charity overseen by a board of governors, the school welcomes pupils from the age of two through to sixth form. It comprises a senior school and sixth form, two preparatory schools — St Paul's and Woodfield, both with Early Years settings — and nearby sports facilities. The school's aim is to encourage independent learning and individual excellence within a secure and happy environment, motivating every pupil to reach their full potential. Alongside academic endeavour, Highclare places importance on self-respect, self-discipline, and respect for others and the environment. Pupils come from a range of professional and business family backgrounds within approximately 15 miles of the school. The school supports pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia and autism, and provides additional help for those who need it. English as an additional language is also supported. The school identifies its most able pupils and those with particular talents, and adapts the curriculum to meet their needs.
