About Heritage School
Heritage School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged four to sixteen, situated in three Victorian houses in the centre of Cambridge. Founded in 2007 by the current headmaster and the head of curriculum and staff development, the school operates as a charitable trust and is registered as a Christian faith school. Its approach is inspired by Charlotte Mason, a British educational reformer and founder of the Parents' National Education Union (PNEU). The junior and senior schools are housed in adjacent buildings, with the school's hall located a short distance away. With one form per year group and small class sizes, the school aims to ensure that every pupil is valued and well supported, with a knowledge-rich curriculum designed to engage and challenge pupils and encourage a genuine love of learning. Pupils come from a range of professional family backgrounds reflecting the wider Cambridge community. The school supports a number of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as those for whom English is an additional language, and makes provision for its most able learners through adapted curriculum activities. The school's vision is for pupils to leave feeling confident, motivated, and ready to engage creatively and thoughtfully with the world around them.
