About Hatherop Castle School

Hatherop Castle School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school set within the Wishford Schools group. It welcomes children from the age of two through to thirteen, spanning the Early Years Foundation Stage, a pre-prep, and a prep school. Boarders are accommodated within a dedicated boarding house inside the main school building. The school aims to provide a stimulating, secure and safe environment with a wide-ranging curriculum, where children can thrive and enjoy the adventure of childhood. It seeks to help every child find success whilst developing confidence, consideration, tolerance and patience. Pupils come from a range of professional and farming backgrounds, largely living within a 20-mile radius of the school, with a small number joining from overseas. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those identified as the most able, with the curriculum adapted accordingly.
