About Hampton School
Hampton School is an independent day school for boys aged 11 to 18, situated in south west London. Founded in 1556, the school is a charitable company limited by guarantee, governed by a board of trustees. Most pupils join in Year 7, with further entry points in Year 9 and the sixth form. The school welcomes pupils from a range of backgrounds across south west London and the surrounding counties. It aims to nurture open-minded, tolerant young men with a strong sense of right and wrong, encouraging them to engage thoughtfully with their learning and to aspire to their personal best while treating those around them with kindness and respect. The school supports a wide range of needs within its community. A number of pupils have been identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, the majority of whom receive specialist additional support, and a small number of pupils speak English as an additional language. The curriculum is also adapted for pupils with particular talents in areas such as sport, music and drama.
