Elm Green Preparatory School is an independent day school for boys and girls, founded in 1944 and owned by Educational Options Ltd. The principal, who is also the owner and sole director, takes full responsibility for the leadership and management of the school. A multi-use games area has been added to the site in recent years. The school aims to provide a safe and stimulating environment where pupils can grow in confidence and independence, developing a genuine curiosity and love of learning. Its values include listening, forgiveness, sharing, peace-making, honesty, kindness and helpfulness, and care for the environment. Pupils come from the local area and represent a range of nationalities, with some speaking more than one language. The school supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, and seeks to offer more challenging work within lessons for those who would benefit from it.
