About Edenhurst Preparatory School
Edenhurst School is an independent day school welcoming boys and girls from three months to eleven years of age. Founded in 1961 by Mr and Mrs W.A. Copestick, the school has a warm family history at its heart, with the current headmaster having succeeded his father in 1976. The school is now owned and governed by the Bellevue Education Group. The school is made up of the Nursery, which caters for children from three months to four years, pre-Prep covering Reception and Years 1 and 2, and Prep for Years 3 to 6. The Nursery is open all year round, and the school runs activities throughout the school holidays. An all-weather pitch has been added to the grounds, further enriching the facilities available to pupils. Edenhurst aims to nurture individual talents and gifts while looking after each child's personal needs. It seeks to inspire pupils through innovative teaching across a broad curriculum, with a focus on excellent results in the classroom and in sport, music, drama, and a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Pupils are drawn from a variety of professional backgrounds within a ten-mile radius of the school, and the school provides support for those with special educational needs, additional language requirements, and particular talents.
