About Dumpton School

Dumpton School is a co-educational school welcoming pupils aged two to thirteen, set within 26 acres of grounds close to Wimborne in Dorset. Founded in 1903, the school was originally situated in Kent before moving to Dorset at the outbreak of the Second World War and then to its present site in 1987. The school is centred around a converted and extended nineteenth century farmhouse and stable block, and operates as a charitable trust administered by a board of governors. The school aims for pupils to Be Kind and Aim High, educating them within a safe, supportive, and caring environment that is guided by Christian values. Teamwork, mutual respect, good manners, friendliness, and tolerance are all encouraged, and the school motto, You can because you think you can, reflects its commitment to nurturing confidence in every pupil. Pupils come mainly from professional and business families living and working in the surrounding area. The school identifies pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities and ensures appropriate support is in place for them. More able pupils are identified and have their curriculum extended to suit their needs.
