About DLD College London
DLD College London is an independent co-educational day and boarding school, founded in 1931 and situated in purpose-built accommodation on London's South Bank. The school welcomes pupils from around the age of 14 upwards, with the majority studying at sixth-form level. It is owned and governed by the Alpha Plus Group. The school offers a broad range of courses, including GCSEs, A levels, BTECs, and International Foundation Programmes, giving pupils a variety of pathways to suit their individual goals. DLD aims to build confidence through strong pastoral care, encouraging independent thinking and intellectual curiosity alongside a committed approach to academic work. The school also has a well-being centre and library to support pupils in their day-to-day life. The school's community is genuinely international, with pupils drawn from a wide range of countries and backgrounds. Around half of the pupils are boarders, living in self-contained accommodation within the school building. Support is available for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, and for those for whom English is an additional language. A scholars' programme is in place for the most able pupils, and the curriculum can be adapted for those with particular talents in areas such as music and art.
