About Dixie Grammar School
Dixie Grammar School is an independent co-educational day school with a history stretching back to 1320. The school was reopened in 1987 by the Leicestershire Independent Educational Trust and is run as an educational charity, with a single governing body overseeing both the senior school and the junior school and nursery, which opened in 1990 and is located on a separate site approximately four miles away. The school aims to educate its pupils to high standards so that they become confident and active members of the community, ready to take their place in the wider world. Pupils come from families with a wide range of business, professional and academic backgrounds. The school works to identify each pupil's individual strengths and tailors its provision accordingly, including offering additional support for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
