About Denstone College
Denstone College is an independent mixed day and boarding school for pupils aged 11 to 18, situated in the village of Denstone. A Christian foundation dating back to 1873, the school is a registered charity and limited company, wholly owned by the Woodard Corporation, and is governed by a board of directors. The school has four boarding houses and welcomes pupils from the local area, including those from business, agricultural and professional families, as well as a number of overseas pupils, most of whom board. The school aims to promote high standards of educational achievement, encouraging pupils to challenge expectations and realise their potential, and to prepare articulate and confident young women and men for useful roles in society. The school supports 67 pupils identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, of whom 24 receive specialist learning support, and provides additional support for 19 of the 37 pupils for whom English is an additional language.

If parents feel it is necessary, pupils may bring mobile telephones to school but they may only be used during free time. They must be turned off during lessons, activities, meetings, assemblies, prep etc, unless given permission by the member of staff to use them.
