Dean Close Airthrie School is an independent co-educational day school situated in the centre of Cheltenham, in Gloucestershire. The school is part of the Dean Close Foundation, an educational charity based in Cheltenham, and is managed by a board of trustees. The foundation's warden has oversight of all its schools. The school subscribes to the Dean Close Foundation's aims and values, which focus on promoting the flourishing of each individual and developing love, courage and contribution as personal qualities in each pupil. Pupils come mainly from business and professional families living within a 15-mile radius of the school. The school has identified pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including cognition difficulties, learning and hearing impairment, dyslexia and dysgraphia, and provides additional support for a number of them.
