About Cransley School
Cransley School is a non-selective independent day school for boys and girls aged between 4 and 16, set on the grounds of Belmont Hall in Cheshire. Founded in 1934, the school has a long history, beginning as a girls' preparatory school in Bowden before moving to its current home in 1977. The senior school is housed in a former manor house, with the lower school and specialist facilities situated in buildings within the grounds. The school became fully co-educational in 2014 and welcomes pupils from a range of professional and business families in the local and wider area. It supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, more able learners, and pupils for whom English is an additional language. Cransley aims to provide opportunities for individual academic effort and achievement, while nurturing positive attitudes and strong pastoral, spiritual, ethical and moral understanding. The school also seeks to foster an independent, reflective and aspirational approach to learning and personal growth.
