About City of London School

City of London School is an independent day school for boys aged 10 to 18, situated in purpose-built accommodation in the heart of the City of London, close to St Paul's Cathedral. The school has a long history, having first been founded in 1442, and is part of the Family of Schools overseen by the City of London Corporation. The school aims to provide a strong academic education within an atmosphere that values individuality. It seeks to help pupils flourish and become the best version of themselves, whilst developing a sense of responsibility towards wider society. The school hopes to nurture pupils who are respectful, optimistic, and curious, and who are well prepared for the demands of the twenty-first century. Pupils come from across London and the surrounding counties, and reflect the diverse social backgrounds and ethnicities of the region. The school has pupils with a range of additional needs, including those with special educational needs or disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language, with tailored support available where needed. More able and talented pupils are catered for through enrichment programmes and co-curricular activities.
