About Cheam School
Cheam School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school set in Headley, having moved to its current home in 1934 after being founded in 1645. The school welcomes children from the Early Years Foundation Stage all the way through to Year 8, with boarding available to pupils from Year 4 on a weekly or flexi basis. Boarders are accommodated in a single boarding house on the school site. The school aims to provide a happy, stimulating environment in which every pupil is nurtured to grow intellectually, personally, physically, emotionally, creatively, and empathetically. Staff work to blend the best of modern thinking with traditional values, encouraging pupils to have a go and give their best, so that they leave well prepared for the next stage of their lives. The school supports a wide range of learners. A number of pupils have been identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, with many receiving additional specialist help, whilst those identified as most able benefit from a modified curriculum. English as an additional language is also supported for those pupils who need it.
