About Bridgewater School

Bridgewater School is a co-educational school situated seven miles from the centre of Manchester. It has three sections: senior, preparatory, and an early years foundation setting. The school has grown its facilities in recent years, adding outdoor gym equipment and a covered outdoor learning area for its youngest pupils, and has also strengthened its learning support provision across all sections. The school aims to create a caring, family environment in which all pupils are encouraged to become lifelong learners who take pride in their own achievements and those of others. It works to develop pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding, and to nurture sensitivity to the needs of others, both within school and in the wider world. The school supports a range of learners, including those with special educational needs or disabilities, pupils who speak English as an additional language, and those who are more able. It adapts the curriculum as needed and offers extra-curricular opportunities to help all pupils thrive. The school is also flexible in accommodating pupils who have particular talents, such as in performing arts or sport.
