About Breaside Preparatory School
Breaside Preparatory School is a co-educational independent day school located in the Bromley area. Originally opened in 1950 as a boys' preparatory school, it has grown and evolved over the decades and has been part of the Cognita Schools group since 2004. It welcomes children from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to the end of the preparatory years. The school aims to celebrate each child as an individual and to inspire a genuine love of learning that reaches beyond the classroom, offering a wide range of opportunities and seeking to prepare children well for the wider world. Pupils come predominantly from professional and business families in Bromley and the surrounding area, representing a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. The school supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, including conditions such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, with additional specialist provision in place for those who need it. A number of pupils speak English as an additional language, reflecting the varied and welcoming community that the school is proud to serve.
